The volunteers continued their trip to several locations meeting the Afghans Abroad. Shopkeepers, day laborers, even animal caretakers, the group were able to reach out to God’s lost children. While victories were being made for the kingdom, Satan continued to attack their efforts. Hotels with no vacancies, opposition from some individuals, and countless other frustrations. Yet, through it all, there was peace as God was in control. Strongholds of the enemy were weakened and light was brought into the darkness. “Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man” Psalm 112:4
This week was an ever-present reminder that in our service to the Father, we are also soldiers in a battlefield. Spiritual warfare is very real and the enemy does not want to see ground lost. Yet while the darkness can seem so vast and strong, it cannot withstand the light of Christ. Please pray for the strongholds to continually be weakened and ultimately brought down. Pray that more volunteers may come to proclaim the salvation of Christ alone and that it may be embraced by the Afghans Abroad.
