Protests and riots are sweeping the Middle East, now entering areas that have normally been peaceful…areas where many Afghans have gone to find peace and rest from the troubles of their homelands.
Today, as you pray for Afghans living abroad (particularly those in the Middle East), pray also for the many areas of unrest.
Call upon God, our Guide, to guide and direct leaders and people.
“For this God is our God for ever and ever;
he will be our guide even to the end.” Psalm 48:14 NIV
Pray that leaders will act wisely during this time of unrest.
Pray that people will demonstrate peacefully and work towards acceptable negotiations.
Pray that this unrest will stir hearts and cause people to seek the Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
