Warm fuzzies get us through difficult times. Today, I read a very cool article about a man collecting and sending Beanie Babies and beef jerky to the troops in Afghanistan. The Beanie babies are for injured Afghan children who are being treated, and the jerky is for the troops. What a way to send warm fuzzies! http://norcross.patch.com/articles/what-do-soldiers-need-beanie-babies-and-beef-jerky
For another “warm fuzzy” read this inspirational story about an Afghan woman, who after suffering many hardships and fleeing her homeland, now is giving back to help children and widows who are refugees. http://northside.whereilive.com.au/news/story/meet-northsides-most-inspirational-women/
Here is an article about a woman volunteering a couple of hours a week to teach English. She has recently been working with an Afghan mother and daughter. http://www.clippertoday.com/view/full_story/13320999/article-Volunteer-tutors-learn-along-with-students-?instance=lead_story_left_column.
Consider finding ways like these to share love and hope with Afghans living abroad and in their homeland. Please continue to pray for Afghans.
